National Gallery of Art – 1874

Imagine entering Paris in 1874, a city with energy and artistic revolution.

We have created a video for the entrance of the “Paris, 1874” exhibition at the National Gallery of Art. Its purpose is to set the tone and immerse visitors as they enter. Using a blend of historical photos and 3D reconstruction, we have brought the city’s post-war vibrancy back to life.

The paired videos run parallel, sometimes diverging to offer different perspectives on the same scenes. This gives visitors a fresh and dynamic view of Paris and Impressionism.

It’s a perspective on the city of light like you’ve never seen before.

What it is about: Paris 1874 back to life
